For businesses, holidays are the best period to sell their items and products. Out of 100, there are 73 people who are influenced by the social media presence of the brands but now it is studied to know how many people are influenced to buy things in the season of a holiday.
This study is based on the response of the consumers toward the approaching holiday and the change in their purchase behaviour. This social media marketing trend survey provided us with information about the perspective of the consumers of social influence and the videos during the holidays and how it affects their purchase intention.
It helped us to know how the marketers are trying to keep up with their customers and what are the effects of their marketing efforts on the purchase consideration of the customers? In this survey, there were 1000 consumers whose responses are taken into consideration and almost 500 marketers responded to the survey questions. We also reached out to Buzzoid (a social media marketing agency that sells Instagram likes, followers and views) for their thoughts.
Results of the survey
The result of this survey shows that there are 56% of customers who believe that their purchase intention is affected by the social media presence of particular brands during the holidays. Watching the ad of the products by various brands on the feed section of their social media accounts, they get more awareness about the product and its availability. They believe that the brands which are on social media channels get more attention from the users while purchasing anything.
Video ads that are shared by the brands over their social media accounts are the one and only source through which the consumers get the awareness of their products and services. Walk-in customers or window shopping is getting decreased and people rely on online shopping for many products. Having social media presence makes them aware of the options they get for online shopping and they get aware of their product offerings or the deals for particular holidays. This is the best way to get the attention of the audience and influence their purchase intention just by showing them a video or an ad of your product.
