Before You Start Rolling
You are trying to roll a perfect joint but don’t have any idea how to? Perhaps you have watched some Youtube videos on how to do it but you can’t make it as perfect as they do? Read on.
Pick apart the larger pieces of the flower into smaller pieces to roll. You can use your fingers or a grinder for this part. The smaller pieces are easier to roll then and make sure to pick out the stems first.
You can also use a scissor, knife, or just break the nugs down with your hands to have tiny bits that you can sprinkle into your joint. A combination of small pieces of flowers and tiny bits is magical.
Now that we have the three important things, let’s talk about the rolling paper. The common rolling papers that are usually used are hemp paper and tobacco leaf. These papers provide natural and earthy flavor.
Rolling it Up
Get and open your rolling paper lengthwise with the sticky side facing up. Place the filter tip in one end and hold it up. If you are right-handed, it will be easier to place the filter on the left side.
Using your other hand, sprinkle the small pieces of flowers and tiny bits starting at the center and distribute evenly on both ends. Keep a space in the opposite end of the filter so you can twist and seal the joint.
Shape the joint by gently rolling it using your thumb and index finger. Start near the filter side and slowly roll it back and forth. Once it’s rolled up, make sure to leave a small bit of the sticky side, lick it and twist the other end to properly seal the joint.
How to Preserve a Joint
If you don’t want to smoke it yet, you can preserve the joint by placing it in a glass jar. Make sure that the jar has an airtight lid to keep it fresh. Store it in a dry and dark place since warm or hot area tends to degrade the freshness and potency of the joint.
